Summer Visitors

We've had the good fortune to have some great company the last few weeks. First, Brookie came to have a sleepover with Grace and me...David was out of town so it was just us girls. We had lots of fun playing games, watching Wizard of Oz, drawing pictures, and making bluberry muffins. She's so awesome with Grace and entertains me to no end. Love being an aunt to this little girl!



Not long after, my parents came up for a belated birthday and Father's Day celebration for John. Kim joined us in going to see Wicked - originally a gift from me to my mom, which turned into a gift from her to all of us! I'd seen it with David in NYC almost two years ago and adored it just as much the second time. Not everyone has a love for musicals and I'm so glad my family gave that to me.



Today, I got a call out of the blue from one of my oldest friends, Paul. He was in town just for the day and hoping to catch up and meet Grace. Paul and I were born three days apart, to best friends, and celebrated every birthday together (and many holidays) for as long as I can remember. I hadn't seen him since our wedding, but it felt like no time had passed at all. Can't even imagine this being Grace and Reed (or Colton) someday...
